BBS is providing Building Control on the major refurbishment and internal alterations of the care home. Reconfigeration of the Gallery Wing, including new medical room, hoist store and improved sluice and assisted bathroom on upper ground and first floors.
Also refurbishment and reconfiguration of the lower ground floor service area. The second phase will comprise refurbishment of ground floor bedrooms in the Larmenier Wing, including renewal of the flat roof/terrace and removal of conservatories from the first floor terrace and ground floor rear elevation.
Plus, internal alterations to convert existing ground and first floor kitchen/dining rooms to communal lounges.

Completed in February 2013, this new care home comprises 84 luxury bedrooms together with state-of-the-art faciliities.
The care home also features a shop, hair-dressing salon, cafe and library. The landscaping has been carefully designed to enhance the residents' quality of life, offering a communal, sensory and herbal garden with a large water feature.
Further design aspects include the installation of PV solar panels and a CHP unit which helped achieve a BREEAM Very Good rating.
